Food: Sauce - Vinegar Pepper Sauce (QHMix Recipe)

Ingredients and Materials:

- 70 ml cup of green and red Siling Labuyo (Wild Chili Pepper/Philippine Pepper)
- 200 ml Vinegar/Cider
- 1 Garlic head (preferably the Philippine native garlic)
- 1 red Onion (standard size)
- 2 Calamansi or 2 thin slices of lemon

- Clean bottle glass container with cap (320 ml or more)
- Knife
- Chopping board

Procedure:

1. Break the garlic head into cloves, peel, crush and then put them inside the glass container.
2. Slice and cut the onion into pieces just like the size of the peppers and put them into the container.
3. Slice the calamansi fruits into two (or the slices of lemon), add them to the mixture.
3. Put all the peppers into the container also.
4. Pour the vinegar over the ingredients, seal with cap and shake a little.
5. Store your hot and nice pepper sauce for a while before consuming it.

Organic Food: Vegetable Salad - Cucumber, Carrot, Tomato and Leeks

A simple vegetarian diet food that may be taken in between meals of other healthy foods.

Materials and Ingredients:

For one serving, use

(Note: The amount of the major ingredients should be equal.)

- leeks, 4 normal-sized green leaves
- 1 cucumber
- 1 carrot
- 1 tomato
- 1 bowl
- honey or salt or fish sauce
- spoon
- knife
- chopping board

Procedure:

1. Use the knife and chopping board to make diced (small chops) leeks, cucumber, carrot and tomato.
2. Put all the diced ingredients on the bowl.
3. You may either use honey or salt or fish sauce to give taste to the food.
4. Mix thoroughly with the spoon.
5. Consume it with or without other accompanying food.

Organic Food: Vegetable Salad - Tomato, Onion and Ampalaya (Bitter Gourd) Salad

Many people are now aware about their health. They have already consumed a lot of processed foods, junk foods or foods with high cholesterol and/or saturated fats content. As a result, they feel sickly and weak. This food preparation and the other organic foods presented in this blog may restore one's good health and vigor.

Materials and Ingredients:

For one serving, use

- 1 ampalaya/better gourd
- 2 standard size tomatoes
- 1 standard size onion
- salt or fish sauce or honey
- 1 bowl
- spoon
- knife
- chopping board

Procedure:

1. Use the knife to chop the ampalaya into small chops and put on the bowl.
2. Do the same with the tomatoes, and then with the onion.
3. You may either use salt or fish sauce or honey to give taste to your vegan food.
4. Mix thoroughly.
5. You may eat it with other healthy food..especially a protein food.

Organic Food: Vegetable Salad - Tomato Onion Salad

In a hot tropical country like the Philippines, one of the vegetables that is mostly consumed especially during summer is tomato due to its thirst quenching property. But eating it alone and raw may not seem to be palatable thus it should be mixed with other foods like the onion. This time, we'll make a simple tomato and onion salad that is absolutely tropical countryside style.

Materials and Ingredients:

2 standard size Tomatoes
1 standard size Onion
Fish sauce or Salt
1 Bowl
Spoon
Knife
Chopping Board

Procedure:
1. Chop the tomatoes 1cm length and 1 cm width and put it on the bowl.
2. Chop the onion 1 cm length and1 cm width, put the chops on the bowl.
3. Add fish sauce or salt to taste, amount would be on your preference.
4. Mix them well.
5. 1 serving. Serve as viand with rice. It is superior to consume it on lunch time and during hot and reposeful summer day.

Organic Food: Vegetable Salad - Tomato, Onion and Egg Salad

Many Filipinos are also fond of salads as viand with rice; one of these is the egg, tomato and onion salad which is usually self-prepared.

Materials and Ingredients:

For one serving, use:

- 1 standard size boiled egg
- 2 standard size tomatoes
- 1 standard size onion
- salt
- 1 bowl
- spoon
- knife
- chopping board

Procedure:

1. Using the knife and chopping board, cut the tomatoes in 1cm X 1cm measurement and put it on the bowl.
2. The same with the onion, cut it in 1cm X 1cm measurement and put it on the bowl.
3. Cut the egg in 1cm cubes and put it on the bowl.
4. Sprinkle salt over the food to taste with amount according to preference.
5. Mix thoroughly and serve with rice.

Organic Food: Salad - Red Egg Tomato Salad

The red egg is one of the favorite delicacies of Filipinos. It can be eaten with rice alone or can be mixed with other foods, the most popular among the Filipinos is the red egg with tomato.

Materials and Ingredients:

For one serving, use

- 1 red egg
- 2 standard size tomatoes
- 1 bowl
- spoon
- knife
- chopping board

Procedure:

1. Cut each tomato into four parts and cut the said parts with about 1 centimeter width to make chunks and put them into the bowl.
2. Peel the red egg and cut into pieces the same with the tomato chunks and put them into the bowl.
3. Use the spoon to mix the ingredients together.
4. Serve as a viand.

Drink: Liquor - How To Homebrew A Beer

Materials/Stuffs and Ingredients:

- 6 lbs malt
- Hops (1 oz Galena Hops (pellet) & 1/2 oz Fuggles Hops (pellets))
- 1 20 qt. stock pot
- 7 gm Red Star Ale yeast or 14 gm Whitbread Ale yeast
- Water (H2O)
- 1 7.6 Gallon Food-Grade plastic bucket with tight fitting lid and airlock
- Heat (preferably a stovetop)
- 1 long charasamatic wooden spoon
- A cool place to put your beer while it's fermenting
- 2 cases of empty RETURNABLE pints (16 oz.)
- Lot-O-bottle caps and a capper
- Hydrometer
- Thermometer

Procedure:

1. Bring 1.5 gallons of cold H2O to boil and add 6 lbs. of Muntons and Fisons Amber Dry Malt.
2. Stir it so it doesn't stick to the bottom.
3. Add 1 oz. of either Northern Brewers Hops (pellets) or 1 oz. of Galena Hops (pellets).
4. Bring it back to boil and keep it boiling for 45 min. Boiling not simmering.
5. 5 minutes before the time is up add 1/2 oz. Fuggles Hops (pellets).
6. Pour this boiling concoction into your sterilized fermenting bucket along with enough H2O to make 5 gallons.
7. Put the Thermometer and the Hydrometer in the bucket too.
8. When the temp. is around 70 degree fahrenheit add either 7 grams Red Star Ale yeast or 14
grams Whitbread Ale yeast.
9. Pitch the yeast by sprinkling it on top, letting it sit for 5 min. then stirring it in.
10. Put the lid on with the airlock and leave it alone for 7 days.
11. Again use the Hydrometer to check the Specific Gravity on the 7th day and
12. again on the 8th day, If the reading are the same, bottle it!
13. To bottle, sterilize your bottles then siphon the beer in to another bucket or your stock pot, add 3/4 cup corn sugar (Make a simple syrup with 2 cups H2O and the 3/4 cupcorn sugar) siphon into your bottles and cap them.
14. Wait about 2 weeks before you drink your new home brewed beer. The longer you leave it in the bottle the better it will become.
15. Enjoy your beer :)
